Our Mission
Our church’s mission is to have members who Love God, Love Others, and Lead the Lost to Christ. We do this in the following ways.
Love God | Love Others | Lead the Lost to Christ |
Our Services focus on our Love for God | Our future Sunday School and Small groups will focus on our Love for Others | Serving in some aspect of the church is a way to have a part in leading the Lost to Christ |
Our Sunday Morning focuses on reaching the lost with text-centered Bible preaching | Sunday School and Small Groups are both effective for different learning styles as we seek to encourage others in their faith | Discipleship training and soul-winning training will enlist new believers in reaching the community for Christ |
Our Midweek Service focuses on maturing the believer through doctrinal and practical instruction from the Word of God | Discipleship is the aspect of Loving Others that teaches us the practical aspects of Christian Living | Our future Public School Bible Clubs will reach out to the young people in King William that are without Christ |
Our Vision
Our church’s vision is to have a church that is actively reaching the lost people of Virginia’s Middle Peninsula. We want everyone to know our church’s name. Everyone should be brought to a point of making a choice regarding the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Our vision is to have people in our church that are maturing in their love for God and for others.
Our Core Values
Faith: We value faith in God for our lives (Proverbs 29:25), our provision (Proverbs 28:25), and our guidance (Psalms 33:18-19). Faith is the basis of salvation (Genesis 15:6).
Preaching: We value preaching as God’s command to reach the lost (1 Corinthians 1:21) and encourage the saints (2 Timothy 4:2). Preaching is to be text-centered and convicting (Titus 1:1-3).
Outreach: We value outreach as part of God’s Great Commission (Acts 1:7-8). Outreach is primarily confrontational (Colossians 1:27-29), secondarily lifestyle (1 Peter 2:9).
Discipleship: We value discipleship as the method of teaching the practical aspects of Christian living (Matthew 28:19). Discipleship is to pass on the Great Commission (Acts 14:21).
